About the projectThe 5th-8th grade student's from the Caldera Arts program within Peninsula school created a music video about what is important in their school community and the changes they want to see happen in the way that people treat each other in the community.

How it was made
We started the project by making a list of what is important to the students and what they want to see more of in their community. The answers ranged from the very popular "Friendship, Respect, and Trust", to "Xbox" and "better food in the cafeteria". The students then broke into teams of: Acting, Videography, Visual Arts, and Music Production.
The Acting group decided to make scenes based around the concepts of Friendship, Trust, Respect, and Honesty. They chose to use a mix of acting out scenes displaying the use of these concepts and more abstract dancing and moving.
The Videography group was in charge of location choice for filming and planning out the perfect angles, lighting and set design to make the scenes look just right. They also filmed various "filler" shots from around the school to show the character and spirit of Peninsula school. The filming was done using Zi8 cameras.
