History
The 4th Dimension Recovery Center provides a fun and safe environment for young people in drug and alcohol recovery to take action, build community, gain knowledge, and become empowered. The 4th Dimension Recovery Center is a proud host of young people’s 12-step recovery meetings for people 35 and under. 12-step programs like Alcoholics Anonymous have a long tradition of supporting young people, sponsoring “35 and under” groups beginning in 1946 in Philadelphia and in 1947 in New York. In 1958, ICYPAA the International Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous began its annual conference for those 35 and under. Founded in 2014, we believe 4th Dimension is America’s first 35 and under young people’s 12-step oriented center, hosting a variety of daily 12-step meetings for young people in recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. 4D began with a few founding members hanging out in a little used warehouse. Today, thanks in large part to the support of several dedicated individuals, 4D enjoys a safe space for youth recovery.
