Winter 2017 Class Project:
Students of the Spring 2017 Effective Change Agent capstone chose to focus their attention on one community issue through two different lenses. Brainstorming discussions led us to consider those experiencing houselessness and ways we could be of service. We agreed on the importance of both short and long term solutions and therefore chose to work with two different organizations:
Blanchet House of Hospitality
Mission: “Blanchet House of Hospitality offers food, shelter and aid to all those in need of a safe place to be nourished and restored. We facilitate the transformation of each life we touch with compassion and dignity.”
Students gathered at 6:00 a.m. to serve a breakfast meal.
