Fall 2019 Class project
Students of the fall 2019 class chose to work with Voz (Workers' Rights Education Project). Voz is a "worker-led organization that empowers diverse day laborers and immigrants to improve their working conditions and protect civil rights through leadership development, organizing, education and economic opportunity."
Working closely with Marvin Pena, Vozs' Grassroots Engagement Coordinator, we helped to support immediate needs by creating a social media campaign to support financial donations through the Willamette Weekly Give Fund. We successfully raised over $1,000. As well, we collected gently used winter clothing items.
