My work with OAT was focused on creating focused feedback on how Land Trusts and other related organizations communicate essential and educational information. In order to assess the work accomplished and currently being done by by over 30 Land Trusts and related organizations, I used a variety of metrics. These metrics were focused on identifying and creating effective communication elements, strategies and tools for use on the OAT website, communications and campaigns. My work for OAT during this internship lead to unexpected clarity of how Land Trusts communicate with the diverse groups they serve, and seeded several concepts that will likely come into play for future communications plans. I look forward to continuing my work with OAT, and eventually using my minor in law to assist in creating policy recommendations for legislature that will protect and exemplify resilient food systems in our state.
