University Studies Goals
Diversity, Equity and Social Justice: What does this goal mean to you in terms of your work and what role did it play (provide examples) Live citizenship project exploring the meanings of belonging, exclusion, community, citizenship, and diversity in the United States; I felt I was so connected to the work that young adults like me have experienced racism, a sense of not belonging and etc. For example, so many people have faced stereotyping scenarios where they felt not belong to that community place like school, shopping places, restaurants, and more. As a group during the meeting, we plan events where we share different cultural food, music, clothes, dance, etc. The collective work we did as a group motivated me because we help each other and learn from different cultures.
Communication: In the group, we created a learning environment that develops learning skills, language, and communication skills. All this work we do connects us somehow.
