Representation; why is matters?Representation can be defined as the description or portrayal of someone, or something in a certain way. Our media (TV, music, movies, etc.) is suppose to be a representation of their viewers. So why do we only see a certain percentage of those viewers on our screens?

Why do we need diversity?
Diversity leads us to acknowledge our similarities and differences. It increases creativity and innovation. It enables people to unlock their potential so they too can achieve their aspirations, and it creates intellectual conflict, debate, and controversy relating to a positive note. There is a rich exchange between others.

What happens when there is a lack of diversity?
Lack of diversity is an issue because it does not represent all groups of voices and opinions and leads to inequality.
