Bereavement Boxes donated to Local Portland Metro Hospitals
On March 20, 2020, my husband and I went in to the hospital to give birth to our daughter. To our surprise, we were told that there was no heartbeat. With the blink of an eye, we would have to say hello and goodbye in the same breath. Before this, I had no idea what stillbirth was or that this was even something that happened. While we were in the hospital, we didn't receive much of anything to remember our short time we had with our daughter. What little things we did receive, we still have and we cherish those little things we have After our experience in the hospital, I have partnered with local hospitals in the Portland Metro area to donate bereavement boxes. In order to create these memorable bereavement boxes, I have also partnered with some local small shops to create this bereavement boxes.
What is a Bereavement Box?
Bereavement boxes are one of the ways the living can come with their grief by collecting and keeping their loved one's moments in a special place. When a loved one dies, there are memories to be kept. In a bereavement box, precious memories can be kept safe and in one location for easy viewing. |
